These guys are amazing! Our neighbors had them out to remove a tree, and I wandered over to see about getting a quote for some tree work we needed done. We had gotten about 5 or 6 different quotes before I asked them, and I'm so glad I did! They were by far the most competitive bid we received. Not only that, but they were quick, efficient, and I swear they left our yard better than it was when they arrived. We had them remove one tree and clean up 3 others. He dropped by for a second look before finalizing the quote, and when I asked for scheduling, he said, "How about Thursday?" They showed up right at 8am and managed to finish all 4 trees by 4 pm. They did an excellent job with cleanup, and even took care of some piles of brush that we had set aside to deal with at an undetermined point in the future. They had to remove part of our fence in order to remove the tree in the back yard, and we never expected them to attempt putting it back together. We told them multiple times that it was going to be replaced this spring and so it was completely fine to take it down. Before we could tell them not to worry about it, they were trying to reconstruct a 40 year old, janky fence. Would definitely use these guys again in the future!

Expert Stump Grinding in Pleasant Hill, MO
A leftover stump does more than take up space in your yard. It can attract insects, send up unwanted new shoots, and create a tripping hazard for anyone walking through the area. Riffle Landscaping & Tree Service handles stump grinding for homeowners across Pleasant Hill, Lee's Summit, and Blue Springs. We grind stumps down below the soil surface so the spot can be filled, seeded, or replanted. The Kansas City metro area is home to mature oaks, silver maples, and elms with deep, wide root systems. Those species often leave behind large stumps that are hard to manage without the right equipment. We work in front yards, backyards, and tight spaces where access can be a challenge. Once the stump is ground down, you get usable wood chip mulch or we can clear the debris from the site. Growing up working hard alongside family taught us that a job worth doing is worth doing right. Call us to get your stump taken care of.

Yes, we serve Lee's Summit along with Pleasant Hill and Blue Springs. Call us to confirm we cover your specific address.
A stump ground below the soil surface will not regrow in most cases. Some aggressive species with wide root systems may send up shoots, but grinding deep removes the main source of regrowth.
The ground stump turns into wood chip mulch that you can keep for garden beds or we can clear it from the site. Just let us know your preference when you call.
Yes, we work in backyards and other areas with limited access. We assess the space before we start to choose the right approach.
Stump grinding cuts the stump down below ground level and leaves the roots in place. Full removal digs out the entire root system, which is more disruptive to the surrounding yard.
Clear the area around the stump of rocks, garden tools, and any items that could interfere with the grinder. Let us know about any buried lines or irrigation near the stump before we arrive.
