These guys are amazing! Our neighbors had them out to remove a tree, and I wandered over to see about getting a quote for some tree work we needed done. We had gotten about 5 or 6 different quotes before I asked them, and I'm so glad I did! They were by far the most competitive bid we received. Not only that, but they were quick, efficient, and I swear they left our yard better than it was when they arrived. We had them remove one tree and clean up 3 others. He dropped by for a second look before finalizing the quote, and when I asked for scheduling, he said, "How about Thursday?" They showed up right at 8am and managed to finish all 4 trees by 4 pm. They did an excellent job with cleanup, and even took care of some piles of brush that we had set aside to deal with at an undetermined point in the future. They had to remove part of our fence in order to remove the tree in the back yard, and we never expected them to attempt putting it back together. We told them multiple times that it was going to be replaced this spring and so it was completely fine to take it down. Before we could tell them not to worry about it, they were trying to reconstruct a 40 year old, janky fence. Would definitely use these guys again in the future!

Expert Concrete Patio Installation in Pleasant Hill, MO
A concrete patio gives your backyard a solid, low-maintenance surface for grilling, entertaining, or simply relaxing outside. At Riffle Landscaping & Tree Service, we handle concrete patio installation for homeowners in Pleasant Hill, Lee's Summit, and Blue Springs. Our work starts with proper site prep. We grade the area, compact the base, and set forms before a single yard of concrete is poured. That prep step matters here. Pleasant Hill sits on heavy clay soil that swells when wet and contracts when dry. Skipping proper base work leads to cracking and settling over time. Missouri's freeze-thaw cycles add more stress to any slab that was not built right from the ground up. We pour and finish each patio to shed water away from your home's foundation. Our owner grew up pouring concrete alongside his grandfather, so the fundamentals of doing it right are built into every job we take on. Call us to get started on your patio.

Pleasant Hill has heavy clay soil that shifts with moisture and temperature changes, so a compacted base is what keeps a slab from cracking or sinking. Skipping that step is the most common reason patios fail early.
A patio poured with proper reinforcement, control joints, and correct drainage pitch handles Missouri's freeze-thaw cycles without cracking. The slab has to be built right from the start for that to hold true.

Concrete is a practical choice for Kansas City area backyards because it holds up to the region's hot summers, wet springs, and hard winters when installed with the right base and finish. It also requires less regular maintenance than wood or gravel surfaces.
